Modern Slavery Statement
Our Commitment
The Conscious Scout is committed to preventing modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, and exploitation in all areas of our business and supply chain.
We believe in conducting business ethically, with integrity, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Our Business
The Conscious Scout provides sustainability consultancy services.
We operate primarily in the UK and EU and work with a limited number of suppliers and service providers.
Our Approach
Although we are not legally required to publish a statement under the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, we voluntarily support the principles of the Act and take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of modern slavery within our operations.
These steps include:
* working with reputable suppliers and partners
* avoiding knowingly engaging with organisations involved in unethical labour practices
* reviewing supplier relationships where appropriate
* encouraging ethical and fair treatment of workers
Risk Assessment
We consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct business operations to be low. Where we engage third-party suppliers, contractors, or service providers, we expect them to operate in accordance with applicable employment laws and ethical standards.
